About Us
EcoCents was started by Jeanne Appell and Laurie Dahl - two Northern California women from the greater Sacramento area whose mission is to raise awareness of the way we live our daily lives, as the lifestyle choices we make have ripple effects around the world.
Jeanne and Laurie are mothers and professional educators who are passionate about living mindfully in order to re-use more of what we buy, recycle all that we can and reduce our overall consumption of everything!
Jeanne, a Registered Nurse, has worked in education as a Nursing professor and currently works part-time as a community health educator for a local hospital. Laurie is a school teacher with over 10 years experience working with children of all ages.
